Public Barazas resume as Azimio leaders arrives Kamukunji ground.

Leaders from the Azimio la Umoja Coalition on Sunday afternoon arrived at the Kamukunji grounds in Nairobi for its first Public Baraza since calling off mass protests countrywide.

Azimio leader Raila Odinga was accompanied by Martha Karua, Kalonzo Musyoka, Eugene Wamalwa, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Roots Party’s George Wajackoyah and Former Murang'a Governor

The Baraza follows a declaration by Azimio that the forums will provide an opportunity for the coalition to discuss issues affecting the country with the people.

“As the negotiators take up their responsibilities, we will embark on a series of direct engagements with members of the public through town hall meetings and public barazas,” the coalition said in a statement on Tuesday, April 11.

"The purpose of the town hall meetings and public barazas is to enable the party explain to the people where we are and the upcoming course of action following the suspension of protests,” it added.
