THE UNITED STATES has attacked a weapons depot in eastern Syria in response to shelling of its bases in Syria and Iraq. According to report,
“US fighters fired upon a weapons depot in Syria used by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said, adding that the “self-defense strike” was in retaliation for attacks on American forces in Iraq and Syria.”
In response, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance fired rockets at American bases near oil and gas fields. According to Al Mayadeen TV channel, clashes occurred between Syrian and American military personnel. Around the same time, Israel launched airstrikes in southern Syria.
